I have the terrible affliction of not being able to resist a good pun, or a bad pun. (I’m not sure there actually are any good puns….) So when I needed a pincushion, I didn’t go out like a sensible person and buy one, nor did I make a cute, easy little strawberry or pumpkin, no! I couldn’t get ‘Arthur Pindragon’ out of my head, so I spent several hours cracking myself up, sewing this little guy. At least someone had fun.

Girlie clothes are notorious in their lack of pockets, and the pendulous nature of purses impedes dancing. So what’s a girl out on the town (or more likely at a drum circle in the woods) to do? Why, utility belts of course! Now with bonus tassels for extra shaking effect!


Since I can’t really sew, I’ve been making them out of cargo pants with interesting fun things sewn on.

My housemate Michelle makes amazing bamboo flutes, so I made her a sweet flute scabbard to carry them around in (it was a birthday present). Some time after that, I found myself in possession of a tenor recorder and no place for it to live, so I had to go and make myself one too… Flute badassery.

Didn’t get pics of my Eeyore’s costume, but I did get pics of the warrior-fairy-hippie crown I made!

I’ve made a few nifty masks for my Etsy store, and figured an animal showcase was in order. Some of these pieces are older, but are collected here.
